Dry Dock Miniature Schnauzers started with a search for a new pet after my first pet schnauzer died. After having had several mixed breeds I searched for a schnauzer due to my then 5 year old son’s allergies. Non shedding schnauzers fit that bill and the love affair followed.

Dry Dock was created in 1998. My foundation began with Liebestraum dogs from my mentor the late Virginia Rice. From Ginny I obtained my first bitch “Easy”, who became CH Liebestraum Easy Come Easy Go. From Easy came my first litter producing CH Dry Dock Regatta Time. “Race” was the top black & silver in 2003 and #5 overall with the help of Kurt Garmaker of “Repitition”

After Ginny’s death I “apprenticed” under the tutelage of Kurt for several years, attaining many champions along the way. I show groom and pet groom between dog show traveling. I occasionally handle others dogs to their championships or breed rankings. I still assist Kurt Garmaker sometimes.

Dry Dock Schnauzers located in Sarasota, FL strives to produce good quality dogs by researching pedigrees and finding the right combinations to enhance the breed standard. I mainly breed for show prospects but have quality puppies occasionally to sell as pets from what can't be kept for showing. Vet health certificates, shot records, CERF eye exams and pedigrees are provided for puppy buyers as well as a purchase agreement. All pups sold as pets are to be spayed or neutered before receiving AKC papers.
